Quality, cost effective Pile Monitoring

Installing driven piles is one matter, but ensuring these foundations are of sound quality and meet the requirements of the specification, design or standard is an entirely different hurdle.

Dynamic pile monitoring using the Pile Driving Analyzer or “PDA”, is an effective tool to convert the measured strain and acceleration data into force and velocity to estimate the pile capacity during driving to later be confirmed by CAPWAP®. During driving, the compression and tension stresses are monitored to ensure they are within the relevant specification limits and the pile is not being damaged, allowing real time adjustments to the installation procedure, saving significant time and money. The monitoring provides real time evaluation of the performance of the hammer system and valuable, real time assessment of the soil resistance. Piletest performs this service, either remotely via TeamViewer or with an engineer on site, who can provide valuable real time engineering with a hands on approach to ensure the pile is driven with efficiency and precision.

Utilising pile monitoring as part of a test program can provide early insight to the geotechnical anomalies often missed in desktop studies as well as help in developing an installation criteria that meets project requirements. This is where the 40 years of experience Piletest has can make positive outcomes for your next driven pile project.
