Micropile and Screw Pile Load Testing
Screw piles (also known as helical piles) in the Australian market are an increasingly common foundation option, especially for low-rise residential and other structures. Typically testing these piles is ignored or a static load test is used to verify the compression or tension capacity. Using high-strain, dynamic testing methods, a larger spread of these piles can be tested to ensure the screw piers meet design requirements.
With a wide range of available hammers for specific loading requirements, Piletest can accurately and rapidly test multiple screw piles in a day, while indiscriminately selecting piles to load test.
With our DLT options as well, concrete micropiles, steel SHS minipiles, as well as ductile iron piles can all be tested using high-strain methods to determine their integrity and load bearing capacity.
